our why
Aguwazi Creatives Agency is a storytelling boutique agency led by Ijeoma Umebinyuo. Named after a sacred river in her ancestral hometown. We are invested in finding the right artists and working with the right talents. We know African and Black artists and stories have been undervalued historically.
Our stories have been dismissed, minimized, pitied, and told through a colonized lens. Therefore, we work with galleries, artists, and investors who believe in disrupting what was.
Our clients are equally as passionate about investing, investing in artists who show their unique gifts and talents. We are also a storytelling firm, focused on humanizing stories. We work with nonprofits who seek to tell stories of the underrepresented and underserved communities.
Aguwazi meets at that intersection.
